Sunday, August 28th, 2011 Last Day

I haven't been blogging because our internet connections have been so sparse and slow.  We are in Pigeon Forge, TN where we stopped for the night.  We will be home tonight.

We had a nice time in Plymouth, MA where we stayed at a wooded, unique campground.  We saw the Mayflower and Plymouth Rock.  We explored the Cape out to the end at Provincetown.  We were on the subway in Boston during the earthquake, but we didn't feel a thing.  Missing our train, then trying to figure out how to navigate the subway system was a comedy in itself..,..

Our reservations for New York began yesterday..  They refused to refund our deposit even though they had forced evacuation at the RV park on the Hudson River.  Chuck's cousin, Stephen, was going to show us around Manhattan, where he lives.  He chose to stay there, and we hope to hear soon that  he is safe.    We've spent three nights in campgrounds from Boston to Tennessee.  We've covered around 3000 miles in the last 35 days.  We made wonderful memories and a few friends along the way.  We're now glad to be back on Southern soil.

P.S.  Here are the statistics from the driving computer:
        3242 Miles Driven
76 Hours of Actual Drive Time
        7.4 Miles Per Gallon
        432 Gallons Used
        42.5 Average  Miles Per Hour
